Women That Wander — FLICK FERDINANDO

This is a project for women to simply take time and connect with their environment. While they walk they comment and reflect on where they are and how they are. It is an audio experience that is recorded and then placed within a podcast. The co-ordinates of where they start and finish are recorded. Someone in a particular region will be sent a microphone to work with and this is then sent on after use to another person of their choice in their region. This is a project about seeing and experiencing. Making time to look at the micro landscape as much as the macro. It is a time to connect with nature, be it in an urban park or a country setting. As individuals we have our own unique experience, some questions may be proposed as a starting point for the wanderers. Women can go in pairs if they feel uncomfortable walking in certain areas alone. This then becomes an exercise in empathic listening so that each woman has the space to just speak and reflect therefore keeping their narrative on course for them. The materials are sent back and this becomes a global podcast for all to hear and connect with.
