Flick Ferdinando

My present interest and work has an emphasis on art in the landscape, investigating how we relate to and are present with nature and the environment including the burgeoning crisis of climate change.

I have been involved in working in nature for some time, discovering and responding to its natural forms and structures and looking at ways to expand on biophyllic experiences in public spaces. This work extends to garden design and working to realise people’s love of gardens and gardening.

Drawing on my earlier days at art college I am now a keen lino cut artist.

I have been working as an artist for many years wearing many different hats. I am a polymath in as much as I have created work that has been in theatrical settings as well as in outdoor settings. I am a funny person who is sometimes a director of comedy and physical theatre and have created many of my own performances as well as working with other companies. I practice non-violent communication.
